Urgent Care: Our walk-in medical clinic offers prompt, convenient, and affordable treatment for minor wounds and other injuries as well as acute illnesses.
Acute Illness: When you have a rapid onset of an acute illness that is brief and severe in nature, we are here to help. Our walk in medical clinic has state of the art equipment, resources, and experienced staff needed for urgent acute care.
Trauma: When you suffer a nonlife threatening injury, such as a cut or fracture, come to AFC Urgent South Philly for treatment. Avoid the long waits at an emergency room and get cuts (or lacerations) properly stitched so they heal correctly. In most cases, fractures require an x-ray to be properly diagnosed. Then the bone must be set to properly heal.
Minor Surgical Care: Find yourself with a puncture wound, cut, or require a foreign body to be removed? All of these conditions are treatable at AFC Urgent Care South Philly. Our highly-experienced staff are ready to promptly treat these painful injuries efficiently and quickly.
Occupational Medicine: Small business owners of every industry can rely on our medical clinic for occupational medicine services. You’ll find we are far more cost effective than an emergency room when treating employee injuries. We can also conduct pre-employment physicals and drug testing for potential hires as well as annual screenings for your workforce.
Sports Injuries: In Philadelphia we often see various sports injuries. These include sprains, strains, fractured bones, concussions, bruises, bumps, and cuts. We are fully stock with medical supplies to treat your injury. If you need a splint, bandage, cast, or brace to ensure your injury properly heals, come to AFC Urgent Care South Philly.
Physicals: Need a physical? Don’t wait days for your primary care physician to be available. We are a very convenient choice for physicals. Physicals are often required for:
- School districts. (Including when going to a new school district or starting college)
- Athletics (including concussion base line testing if required or requested)
- Pre-employment screening.
- Specialized DOT Physicals
Travel Medicine: Going to exotic locations overseas for business or pleasure? As you prepare to leave, let us prepare your immune system for travel. We have most vaccines required for overseas travel in stock. We’ll consult with the latest CDC guidance to make your trip a safe as possible. Bon voyage!
Lab Work: We can provide testing onsite in our state of the art lab. Our laboratory is CLIA certified and we get testing done quickly and efficiently. Many of our tests and screenings can be done in a single visit, meaning you’ll get quick results without having to go to a second location for sample collection and testing. We also offer tests for TB, Step, Flu, and many STD’s.
Digital X-Ray: “Does this look broken to you?” is never a question you want to ask. Don’t “walk it off” and risk further injury or wait days for your primary care physician to be available. We have a digital x-ray onsite and available with no appointment needed. We’ll interpret the results while you wait and will send you home with a copy of your x-ray. At your request we can send a copy to your primary care physician or specialist.
Prescriptions: Our board-certified physicians can write you a prescription and if necessary, it can be filled at our onsite pharmacy. We can also send a prescription to a pharmacy of your choice.
After your visit at our walk-in clinic we can, at your request, send a report of your visit to your Primary Care doctor via a secure email or fax link.
